Or at least, it bends the truth, as you won’t be making thousands within the first twenty-four hours of using it’s techniques (if you ever do make more than two thousand a day from RJ’s techniques, please, share your advice with the rest of us). Many eBooks are scams (you can read more about this in Why I don’t Waste Money on eBooks), but Rich  Jerk is one of the more popular ones. Perhaps it’s because it does have tips that CAN HELP you make money (if your a professional with a bunch of time on your hands), or the fact that the way the guy talks is so blatantly rude that it’s intriguing, but this guy makes major money. He makes it from selling his eBook/Websites to people  who don’t read reviews, and just read the pointless testimonials that every eBook is filled with. But don’t take my word for it. Here are a few sites who agree with my opinion:

  1. Rich Jerk Reviews.com - This guy fell for it, hook, line, and sinker!
  2. Marketing Drive.com – As a recap, if your a professional marketer, Rich Jerk can work for you. Novices would be totally confused, however.
  3. Steve Pronger.com – There are some good techniques in Rich Jerk, it’s just not worth it, and it’s time consuming
  4. Rich Jerk Review.blogspot – An obviously biased not well thought out article that is FOR rich jerk.
  5. The Money Reviews.com – Again, the Rich Jerk can work for professionals in the Internet Marketing biz. But since many buyers of the eBook aren’t professionals, this proves to be a problem.
  6. IttyBiz.com -  Blatantly states: If you buy The Rich Jerk after reading this review, you can’t come to my site anymore.
  7. Ezine Articles: The Rich Jerk Review – It’s more of a list of three things of what you should know before buying the Rich Jerk.
  8. Blogging for Money.com – Quote: The Rich Jerk is useless without acting upon it. And it’s not for beginners.
  9. My-House-Stuff.com – This is another “for” the Rich Jerk review. Not as naively biased, though.
  10. Docstoc: The Rich Jerk Review – Not that much of an article, but it does make it’s point.
  11. HonestMoneyOnline.com – I don’t find this review very HONEST, as the writer says it’s  a great resource for beginners in the internet market biz. Which, as stated by a bunch of other articles, is not the case. The only con the review listed of the eBook was that RJ was a jerk. Which he is.

After a few moments of consideration, I decided that that was indeed me! The requirement was that I had to write about,  in detail and four-eight sentences, why and What soda was my favorite. The result, was the poem I wrote, Pepsi, a spoof (though I do really enjoy the original) of  Trees, by Joyce Kilmer.

At first I thought it was a bright idea. Then I realized, I was ignorantly immature. While ignorance is indeed bliss, that doesn’t stop it from being a big pain in the rear at the wrong times. I was just about to click delete on my bid and send the failure of the poem I had written to kingdom come, when I got a PM from the person who was looking for my work. He loved the poem (or so I gathered, though he didn’t say it), and wanted me to start working on the articles he had chosen for me to work on, immediately!

Which shows that if you want a freelancing project, don’t give your prospective employer any of that cut and paste junk. Invest time in making a quality, creative, well thought out (or just really creative) peice of work, and then submit it. It’s like blogging. Quality, over quantity.
